Dr. Cynthia Correa-Cedeño, DPM

Meet Dr. Cynthia Correa-Cedeño.  Dr. Correa-Cedeño moved to the Jacksonville area to complete her training and decided she wanted to join the community full time.  She brings a well-rounded and thorough knowledge of podiatric medicine to her new hometown and loves meeting new patients and providing them with the best possible care.

Dr. Correa-Cedeño has an outstanding academic profile beginning with obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, graduating Cum Laude.  From there, she completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Kent, Ohio.

Her postgraduate training found her completing her residency at PMSR St. Vincent’s Medical Center-Ascension Hospital here in Jacksonville where she had the distinct honor to serve as Chief Resident.  Lucky for us, she also decided to stay beyond the completion of her training, embracing the Jacksonville community as her own.

As a board-certified doctor, Dr. Correa-Cedeño has extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient wound and surgical care and, following in the footsteps of her college mentor, a focus on limb preservation and limb salvage techniques that support the diabetic community.

Born in Puerto Rico (and fluent in English and Spanish), Dr. Correa-Cedeño moved to the states when she was 10 years old and was the first in her family to go to college and medical school.  She counts herself fortunate to be able to return to the island frequently to visit family and friends.

Now, in her free time, she can often be found on the beach cruising on her bike, working out, and living a healthy, active Florida lifestyle.
